glimpse that he held
something in his hand.

As it turned out,
what he had pulled

from practically 

right out of his

butt, about which the 

crowd had no clue 

(and never did) was 

the magician’s sense

of humor. What be
came clear was
that the spectators
were bored to tears

or else, as a few of
them would by the
final act be,
to death.
