Interviewee as Artist or Art?
I can’t think of a work of fiction
that I’d want to model my life
after, at least not at the moment,
and that’s not the way I think when
I read. When I read something so
vibrant and so aspirational for me,
it’s not the work of art that I aspire
toward. It’s the artist.
