by giving us
a most unreal
reality. and
what has
that now
given us?
a reminder
of what we
never knew
we wanted?
at night, or
during inter-
mission, i
listen to each
siren, imagin-
ing inevitable
doom. should
i try to sleep?
or should i
get back to
the show?
when i final-
ly dream, i
dream in
parables.
there is a
fine line
between
embar-
rassment
and tragedy.
