“We were just hanging out.”

               “Oh, yeah?”

“That’s it. That’s all it was.”

               [Paul paused for a moment,
               pursing his lips.]

               “You think I don’t know who
               was doing the hanging?”

“Psh! Well, at least where we hang
there aren’t any guillotines!”
