Books can be furniture, too.
And sofas past and present. My 
houses hold best when cradling
sofas in their midst (be they in a

room somewhere to the side or, 
once in a while, smack in the 
middle, almost as if to separate, 
particularly in studio apartments),

so cradled, that piece of furni
ture would come to know the
frenzied heat of love that
would not make it to a bed.

The beds would know similar
states, as well. But the sofa....
