My thoughts
flicker at light
speed, create
mangled images
that come and go
so quickly that I
can’t quite make
out what’s depicted
in the horrors of
each, jangling
my nerves so
that my stomach
does somersaults.
Soon I will soar
into the unknown
at what might as
well be the
same velocity.
