Shorter being more succinct,
poems of this size tend to
encapsulate. Encapsulation
is more memorable than
anything long, and gives one
the opportunity to take a pill
that might solve something.
The longer ones are less
worthwhile, which is by no
means saying anything about
attention span. It just means
the author, the speaker got
lost, perhaps, had more to say.
These pass the time and are unremembered.
