we have a pretty good idea).
such things lower the odds of
common misperception. keep
murderers from intervening.
give us all a sense of inequity,
with and without any more
intense focus given to probes,
to problems. the likelihood that
someone (not just the culprit, of
course) has already narrowed this
down sufficiently continues
to get higher and higher.
