Bleakest of Times
Because what’s morbid, what’s
tragic, can so often also be
pretty hilarious. There’s ten
acity and there’s intentional
deflection or redirection or,
better yet, intense focus on
the absolute worst of what
can be experienced. These
belittle nothing of the battle,
whatever it happens to be.
Be strong. Be real. Crying
and expressions of outrage
or fear can be very helpful,
too, of course. This is for
all of the stand-up artists.
